Adam Jorgensen, MD

Dr. Jorgensen is a board-certified cataract and glaucoma surgeon. He joins us from Salt Lake City, UT where he obtained his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine after receiving his B.A. BS in Biology and Minor in Chemistry. His Medicine Internship was at the University of Utah Medical Center and his Ophthalmology Residency was at John A. Moran Eye Center. He is a fellowship-trained glaucoma surgeon having completed his fellowship at John A. Moran Eye Center.

Dr. Jorgensen performs cataract surgery and offers toric and multifocal intraocular lens implantation. He has experience in a wide variety of micro-invasive glaucoma surgeries and has a special interest in cutting-edge glaucoma treatments and combined cataract and glaucoma surgery. In addition to clinic and surgery in Rapid City, he travels to satellite locations in Sturgis and Pierre South Dakota.

Dr. Jorgensen and the Black Hills Regional Eye Institute will not be prescribing marijuana for our patients with Glaucoma at this time.
