Research Assistant/Ophthalmic Technician – Retina Practice
Part-Time or Full-Time
A busy ophthalmic practice is seeking an energetic individual with impeccable organizational skills to function as a Ophthalmic Technician to the retina research department conducting cutting edge clinical trials. Duties will include clinical trial visual acuities and refractions, organization and maintenance of medical charts, completion of Case Report Forms, filing and drug accountability. Other duties as assigned.

Criteria:

  • Prior clinical research and ophthalmic experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • A personable and professional demeanor in interacting with patients, co-workers and sponsors.

Clinical Research Coordinator
Part-Time or Full-Time
A busy ophthalmic retinal practice is seeking an energetic individual with impeccable organizational skills to function as a full-time or part-time Clinical Research Coordinator for numerous on-going clinical trials. A detail-oriented person with meticulous attention to detail is desired. The successful candidate will possess a good work ethic, positive attitude; must have an attention to detail and be able to adapt to a flexible schedule.

Criteria:

  • Prior clinical trial experience, medical experience and phlebotomy skills are preferred, but not required.
  • Moderate to strong computer skills.
  • A personable and professional demeanor in interacting with patients, co-workers, sponsors.

Ophthalmic Technician
Full-Time
Black Hills Regional Eye Institute is currently seeking an Ophthalmic Technician for a busy practice. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you are responsible for assisting patients through the course of an eye examination and procedures to include laser vision correction and dry eye treatments. An Ophthalmic Technician performs all areas of history taking and patient work ups, provides patient education per the physicians’ instructions, triage urgent calls and documenting the patient’s encounter in our medical records systems. The successful candidate will be friendly, efficient, possess a good work ethic and have a positive attitude. The candidate also must have attention to detail, multi-task and be able to adapt to a flexible schedule.

Criteria:

  • Experience in medical, optometry, or ophthalmology practice preferred but not required.
  • Be able to travel
  • Moderate to strong computer skills.
  • Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant preferred but not required.

Certified Surgical Technician
Full-Time

The Black Hills Regional Eye Surgery Center is seeking a certified surgical technician for a position in our ophthalmic ambulatory surgical center.

We are committed to providing comprehensive eye care and surgery for children and adults. We stress excellent service and consideration for the patient, and constantly strive to provide the best medical and surgical care available anywhere.

Criteria:

  • Must be certified as Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician
  • Provide a high level of skilled surgical assistance to the physician/surgeon
  • Candidate must possess exception skill and knowledge in surgical scrub techniques and high aptitude for instrumentation use, application and care.
  • Requires teamwork and flexibility
