An eye with keratoconus means that the cornea is cone-shaped.  The cornea is an important part of your eye, as it helps you to focus light rays and see.  Keratoconus can cause mild to severe distortions in your vision making it difficult to see clearly.

On Monday, June 13, Dr. Steve Khachikian will perform an artifical corneal transplant using the Boston Keratoprosthesis or K-Pro.  K-Pro is a good option for patients that have had multiple corneal transplants fail.
