The Black Hills Regional Eye Institute lost a dear friend and mentor on January 10, 2011.  Dr. Paul Zimmerman will never be forgotten.  The Northern Plains Eye Foundation will annually award the Dr. Paul Zimmerman Memorial Healthcare Scholarship.

Age-Related Macular Degeneration is a leading cause of vision loss for those over 50.  If discovered early, there are treatments or therapies that can slow the progression and save some of the vision.
