Since its inception in 1987, the Eye Surgery Center in Rapid City has provided a wide range of surgical procedures. This tradition continues today, as we provide care to thousands of patients in a five-state region. Surgeries performed include retinal, cataract, glaucoma, eye muscle, oculoplastic, pediatric, anterior segment and corneal transplants. Our ophthalmologists also work closely with the medical community to diagnose and treat emergency and eye trauma cases.

The Eye Institute Surgery Center offers patients a warm and friendly environment. All surgery is done on a same-day, outpatient basis, and every effort is made to ensure each patient's comfort and convenience. Our staff of registered nurses and certified registered nurse anesthetists, specialize in ophthalmology only, which makes the experience comfortable for the patient.
